What’s up ladies and gentlemen! In this week’s TouchUp’s Beauty Blog, we’ve compiled a list of the most popular hair colors for this winter! Check out the list below, and if you like what you see, call our Chandler salon at 480-840-5542 to make your appointment today! (Our books are filling up with holiday appointments, so don’t miss your chance!)
1.- Ravishing Red
Redheads, now is your time to shine! During the winter, beautiful red hues are not at risk of fading in the summer sun, and they light up the room like nothing else. Red is always lovely in the winter and fall, but you can wear it year-round too! Talk your stylist about going red, and be sure to use color-safe products like these!
2.- Pastels!
Who doesn’t love some pastel hair? Pastels and metallic pastels were all the rage this year, and the bright pinks and blues of summer transition into shades of grey for the winter. The trick to rocking the pastel colors is to allow a smooth transition from your roots to the colored hair, or to get your roots done monthly. It’s a LOT maintenance, but what a fun look. Pastels also fade quite quickly, so use that color safe shampoo and conditioner, and try to wash your hair no more than twice a week to make the color last. You can also try a pigmented shampoo like *this one* to refresh your color at home.
3.- Ash Blonde

Balayage by Alexia for a TouchUps client.
Winter time is the perfect time for those ashy, über light blondes. This is definitely a look that’s wearable every day of the year, but it’s especially fashionable during the colder months! Celebrities like Jennifer Lawernce, Julianne Hough, and Cara Delevingne are famously ashy blondes.
4.- A Slight Balayage
Everybody wants those beautiful, low-maintenance looks, right? Well friends, this is it! A lovely caramel/espresso brown balayage is a fantastic look, always. Balayages are grow-out friendly and are way healthier than bleaching all of your hair. Ask your stylist if a balayage would be a good style for you!
5.- Brunette
IF you’re wanting to go darker for the winter, try out a warm chestnut brown! This will add some warmth to your skin tone, and come spring, it will make a lovely transition base color for highlights. You really can’t go wrong with a nice shade of brown!
6.- Platinum Blonde!
Last but not least, the most high maintenance look on the list; platinum blonde! It’s gorgeous, it’s the gateway to dying your hair every color of the rainbow, and it’s gorgeous. If you have a warmer skin tone platinum might wash you out a bit, and it may require a change in your makeup routine. It takes quite a bit of effort (and bleach) to get to platinum, but it’s so worth it.
That’s all for this week! We hope you enjoyed this little list, and if you’d like to read more of our blogs, click here! See you next time!
