7 Hot Summer 2019 Hair Trends!
For every change of season, there’s a new piece of fashion to discover! Although following the trends is not everybody’s thing, seeing some new styles might inspire you to try something different! The TouchUps Team is all about watching the shows from Fashion week, and we picked out a few looks you might love. Check out these seven hairstyles that are HOT this summer!
Summer’s Hot Hairstyles
1.- The Wet Look
The “wet” look is a runway staple! Although it may look difficult to pull off in real life, this slicked-back style is surprisingly wearable with the right products! I recommend using a product like the Relaxing Moisturizing Fluid to help perfect this look.
2.- Long Braids!
Who doesn’t like braids?! Simple and sleek, long braids are the way to go this season. Whether you like your braids messy or neat, braids are never going out of style. Everyone can wear this awesome and timeless look!
3.- Baby Bangs.
Baby bangs are one of THE latest and greatest looks of 2019. This is another hairstyle that may look difficult to pull off, but with the right cut to go with it, baby bangs could be the best thing that’s ever happened to you. Try out some baby bangs with your pixie cut OR your long hair style!
4.- Shiny and Smooth.
These popular polished looks go well with the first look we touched on! Nothing says sophistication like a shiny, slicked back ponytail. Am I right? Either way, this is another easy, trendy, ultra-stylish look that anyone can do at home! To get that glorious shine, try using a shine spray like the Shimmering Mist from Davines, or using an oil like Oi Oil!
5.- Accessorizing!
It’s summer, so why not go crazy and experiment with some new hair accessories! During Fashion Week we saw plenty of clips, bows, headscarves, and clasps of all varieties. Personally, I don’t use hair accessories very often, but I know plenty of ladies who LOVE decorating their tresses with beautiful clips, bows, and headbands. What better time to try out that bright pink headscarf than over the summer?! Give it a shot and see what you think.
6.- Natural Movement
Everyone’s a fan of beachy waves, elegant curls, and gorgeously flat ironed hair; but there’s something special about just enhancing your hair’s natural texture, or creating just a slight wave. For those of us with super straight hair, it can be a real struggle to create movement in our hairstyles! Guess what the easy solution is? Hair products! If you need to add some texture to your style, you could give the Texturizing Dust or Definition Mist from Davines a try! I especially recommend the Definition Mist as it allows to create a natural strand separation and adds great texture to the hair. It also enhances the natural hair’s shine and helps to control frizz!
7.- Fantasy Color!
My personal favorite trend of the summer, FANTASY HAIR COLOR!!! Although the pool and the sun can cause our hair color to fade quickly, there’s no better time to try out some funky hair color than during the summer! Get your hair done to match the flowers in your garden and then take the ultimate selfie with them, girl! Fantasy hair color is a bold, and creative way to express yourself and change up your style, but it certainly isn’t for everyone. Picking a fun color that goes nice with your skin and eyes and also makes you happy can be difficult, but that’s what your hairstylist is for. Give fantasy color a try! (Just make sure you schedule a consultation with a hairstylist first, please.)
